Flat-Sharer ... Safety advice.

Whilst we know that most people are perfectly trustworthy, we feel we should offer the following suggestions if you are concerned:

Initially, do not disclose your true name, address, telephone numbers or e-mail address to other members.
Before agreeing to meet another member, note their real name etc and try to confirm that they are correct.
Tell a friend who you are meeting, where, at what time and when you expect to be home.
If you feel uneasy about someone then don’t give any personal details and stop contact with them. You are in control of the situation, pay attention to your intuition and don’t feel awkward about backing out of an arrangement that doesn’t feel right.

In the event of a serious complaint site members are traceable through both the credit card transaction and the internet connection.
